We stayed here for a couple of nights before our wedding at Brickhouse Vineyard and the night of our wedding. It was perfect, beautiful surroundings, we saw pleasantly of pheasants, a couple of deer and the peacock.
Our photographer came on our wedding day to take pre-wedding photos in the front garden overlooking the fields and the back garden in the trees, we haven’t seen the photos yet but I expect they’ll be wonderful as the garden really is picturesque.
We had a private chef come to the house and there were no complaints about the kitchen during his cooking of 9 courses! We cooked a couple of times in the house and there are plenty of pans, plates and cutlery, it’s better kitted out than our kitchen.
Nicky left chocolate rabbits (as it was the Easter weekend) and a bottle of prosecco and lovely note. Had a wonderful trip and wonderful wedding day thanks to Exeter Lodge.

The place is everything and more, ideally placed if you would like to explore Devon & Cornwall – route to everywhere very accessible.
The house is like something you see on the TV and it is IMMACULATE!
Nicky is very accommodating and there if you were to need her for any reason. Will definitely visit with the family instead of work next time. We have found a new getaway.
We absolutely loved our stay at Deer Vue and had an amazingly relaxing and stress free time here. All was perfect for us, we even got to see the deer (and so much more).

Exeter Lodge is a real gem of a property. If you want to get away from it all and enjoy some peace and quiet and all that nature can bring to your doorstep then this is the place.
The Lodge was cosy but so well appointed with plenty of space for four adults and small dog. The beds were super comfy and the kitchen and dining room had all the equipment you need for preparing meals or sitting and playing cards.
Even though the weather wasn’t good and we had a lot of rain – we sat in the hot-tub on New Year’s Eve and watched the fireworks over in Exmouth from our beautiful vantage point.
Can’t recommend this place highly enough – we will be back!
This property is built to a high standard and offers a luxury get away! The view is simply breath taking and the surroundings quiet and relaxing!

Absolutely top-quality stay. Stunning house, amazing views, perfect location with nothing far away (coast, Exeter, Dartmoor, Jurassic Coast… etc), pubs close by are brilliant. And the walks you can do from the door into the beautiful Devon countryside were just stunning.
So much wildlife but warm, cosy and comfortable indoors. My son LOVED the supercool LED lighting in the single bedroom and we all felt like we were staying in a posh hotel. Just fantastic. Thank you.
