The Double Locks is also located alongside the Exeter canal but closer to Exeter.  It can be accessed by car as well as foot, bike or boat.  A beautiful drive to the pub just watch out for bikes, walkers and dogs.  If you drive there is one narrow bridge which is not suitable for long vans or wide vehicles so please bear this in mind.

If you don’t want to brave the bridge then you can park in Marsh Barton and walk from there or catch the train from Starcross to Exeter Marsh Barton station.  Or catch a boat!

It is a traditional dog and family friendly pub located right on the Exeter canal with a large garden with covered, heated stretch tent and play area.  In the winter you can cosy up by their open fires or in the summer enjoy watching the wildlife and boats passing by.
